I see I can buy Ceramic Coatings online and they make DIY kits. Why pay someone to do it, when I think I can do this?
With so many new DIY kits on the market now, it makes applying a coating easy right? Right, in general terms. In terms of application, the directions seem fairly straightforward. 2 main differences: Pro Grade coatings that cannot be obtained in your auto parts stores. The other is the certification and tireless, ongoing training that is required to apply these coatings correctly. The entire prep process is what most people don’t have time for, rush through, or just don’t do at all! Paint Correction in various stages must be performed to correct the surface of the paint, so that when Ceramic Coatings are applied, they adhere and bond properly. Any defects still left when coatings are applied, are essentially locked in until the coating is removed.
